Present Indefinite Tense Definition in Hindi – जब कोई कार्य आदत या Daily Routine के अनुसार स्वाभाविक रूप से वर्तमान समय में चलता है, तब Present Indefinite Tense या Simple Present Tense का प्रयोग किया जाता है| Example –
1) I wake up at 5 in the morning.
मै सुबह 5 बजे उठता हूँ|
2) He smokes cigarettes.
वह सिगरेट पीता है|
3) We play cricket.
हमलोग क्रिकेट खेलते है|
Use of Present Indefinite tense : जब कोई कार्य वर्तमान समय में नियमित रूप से या आदतन रूप से चलता है तब ऐसे sentence का प्रयोग Present Indefinite Tense के रूप में किया जाता है| Example –
- I play cricket. (मै क्रिकेट खेलता हूँ)
- He goes to school. (वह स्कूल जाता है)
- She dance. (वह नाचती है)
Use of Present Indefinite Tense
- यदि किसी sentence में always, everyday, daily, regularly, never, hardly, scarcely, usually, generally, sometimes, often, once a week/month/year, twice a day/week/month/Year/ seldom etc. Example –
- He always comes late. (वह हमेशा लेट आता है)
- He goes to school everyday. (वह प्रतिदिन स्कूल जाता है)
- He takes a shower twice a day. (वह दिन में दो बार स्नान करता है)
- Universal Truth बतलाने के लिए Present Indefinite tense का प्रयोग किया जाता है| Example –
- The earth moves round the sun. (पृथ्वी सूर्य का चक्कर लगाती है)
- The sun rises in the east. (सूरज पूरब में उगता है)
- The earth is moving round the sun – Incorrect sentence
- Present Indefinite Tense का प्रयोग विचार, अवस्था, condition या feelings को बतलाने के लिए भी किया जाता है| Example –
- She seems sad. (वह उदास लग रही है)
- I feel tired. (मै थकान महसूस कर रहा हूँ)
- You look beautiful. (तुम सुन्दर लग रही हो)
- Present Indefinite Tense का प्रयोग भविष्य के किसी निश्चित यौजना को बतलाने के लिए भी किया जाता है| Example –
- Our school reopens in June. (हमारा विद्यालय जून में खुलेगा)
- Mohit goes to Delhi on 2nd March. (मोहित 2 मार्च को दिल्ली जायेगा)
- जब किसी sentence से Future की दो घटनाओं का वर्णन हो, तो if, before, when, after, until, unless, as soon as, in case, till के बाद आने वाले clause में Present Indefinite Tense का प्रयोग किया जाता है| Example –
1) if he comes here, I will help him.
– अगर वह यहाँ आएगा तो मै उसकी मदद करूँगा|
2) Unless you work hard, you will not get good marks.
– जबतक तुम मेहनत नहीं करोगे तुमको अच्छे अंक नही मिलेंगे|
3) As soon as I reach, I will Inform you.
– जैसे ही मैं पहुंचूंगा, मैं आपको सूचित कर दूंगा|
Present Indefinite Tense Structure and Example in English and Hindi
Affirmative : Subject + Verb 1 / Verb 5 + Object
Example sentences –
She learns Marathi. – वह मराठी सीखती है।
We live in Pune. – हम पुणे में रहते हैं।
Priya teaches him. – प्रिया उसे पढ़ाती है।
We go to school daily. – हम रोज स्कूल जाते हैं।
Negative : Subject + do/does + Verb 1 + Object
Example sentences –
She does not learn Marathi. – वह मराठी नहीं सीखती है।
We do not live in Pune. – हम पुणे में नहीं रहते हैं।
Priya does not teach him. – प्रिया उसे नही पढ़ाती है।
We do not go to school daily. – हम रोज स्कूल नहीं जाते हैं।
Interrogative : Do/Does + Subject + Verb 1 + Object + ?
Example sentences –
Does she learns Marathi. – क्या वह मराठी सीखती है?
Do we live in Pune. – क्या हमलोग पुणे में रहते है?
Does Priya teaches him. – क्या प्रिया उसे पढ़ाती है?

Interrogative Negative : Do/Does + Subject + not + Verb 1 + Object + ?
Example sentences –
Does she not learns Marathi. – क्या वह मराठी नहीं सीखती है?
Do we not live in Pune. – क्या हमलोग पुणे में नहीं रहते है?
Does Priya not teaches him. – क्या प्रिया उसे नहीं पढ़ाती है?

Wh Question : Wh- word (why, when, how, which etc) + do/does + Subject + Verb 1 + Object + ?
